维基百科搜索轰轰烈烈的传了一年，终于出来测试版本。这个被誉为可以与Google媲美的搜索工具似乎并没有达到粉丝们的期望。前些天试用过程并不理想，速度和结果都没有达到基本要求，只是将维基百科的信息做简单的输出而已，很多信息不完整，搜索结果也不精确。今天重新登录使用，好像不能进入搜索主页了，大约是测试的结果并不理想，导致开发人员开始另一番设计，或许下一个版本会比较好。

Wikia’s search engine concept is that of trusted user feedback from a community of users acting together in an open, transparent, public way. Of course, before we start, we have no user feedback data. So the results are pretty bad. But we expect them to improve rapidly in coming weeks, so please bookmark the site and return often.
对于类似维基百科搜索的网络服务来说，用户有很高的需求，这样的产品和普通搜索引擎不同，精确的结果能减少时间获得更好的效率。综合搜索已经越来越不能满足用户需求，由于信息量很大，造成的结果是，用户需要筛选信息。同时大量的广告以及病毒对搜索引擎都会造成影响。精确搜索或者垂直搜索与综合搜索相比较，体现了其中的优势，相对准确的结果增加了用户粘性。
