Koders搜索服务和Google Code Search非常的相似，这个网站应该更早。在Google Code Search之前，我们并不怎么注意代码搜索的位置，大概这样类型的网站对于用户的要求实在太高。除非程序员，一般的用户根本不会用到代码搜索服务；而且代码搜索的意义也并不在于能搜索到多少条记录，而是搜索结果的实用性。

与Google Code Search的海量数据不同，Koders似乎在应用上更加人性化；提供语言类型以及协议标准的选择。对于程序员搜索代码来说，这样的选择是非常必要的。还有个特点就是搜索结果分类，比如搜索Admin，Koders的结果是261 Interface Definitions, 1853 Class Definitions, 951 Method Definitions, 208 Method Calls、Results 1-25 of about 57,469 results found for 'admin' in 2.12 seconds；而Google则是Results 1 - 10 of about 921,000. (0.17 seconds)；显然提供以上黑体的分类对用户来说同样实用。
